Services Based Company

This category is for companies that provide services. Examples include lawn care, law firms, financial services, software companies, etc.

The term used for this type of company in calculating the expenses associated with providing services is Cost of Sales (COS).  Essentially, all of the costs of providing those service(s) should be captured in COS, so you can manage the costs of providing services to your end customers.

Some companies may elect to charge on an hourly basis, while others may elect to charge based on a package price.  For example, if you own a car detailing service, you may charge a fixed price for a car detailing service.
